The Abrams is powered by a 1500 horsepower turbine engine, giving it superior acceleration and speed over other tanks. It can easily reach speeds of 45 mph and outmaneuver targets in a variety of environments. Its superior power is complemented by a thick armor protection, made up of a combination of steel plates, ceramic material, and composite armor. Its armor is designed with a modular armor system that can be easily replaced to protect against the newest threats, making it one of the most include resistant tanks on the battlefield. This makes it well equipped to take on most types of small arms fire as well as heavy machine guns and even anti-tank missiles.

What makes the Abrams even more remarkable is the fact that its reliable performance is not limited to just protection. The tank also features an advanced stabilized fire control system which allows it to accurately fire and maneuver at high speeds on difficult terrains. Its integrated fire control system features an incredibly accurate aim, giving it the ability to take out enemy targets accurately from a range much farther away than traditional tanks can reach.  The main gun of the Abrams is the M256 120mm smoothbore cannon. This is a powerful and accurate weapon capable of firing advanced munitions, such as high-explosive rounds. Now let’s look at why the Leopard 2 tank is so feared.
